ID: VSN September 2011 - Asian Tea
 x 7"h

Created: September 10, 2011

This is another one of my submissions for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the November 2011 issue with the theme of "Food".

I just got this embossing folder and wanted to play with it. I also love this tea set from gg designs. The flourishes on the tea pot and the quote on the inside are Quietfire Design rubber stamps.

I ran a piece of white cardstock through my machine with the Craft Concepts "Weaving Block", sponged with Distress Scattered Straw, Frayed Burlap and then the high points with Vintage Photo and clear embossed.

Stamped the Asian Symbol with Versafine Black Onyx, clear embossed, die cut with Spellbinders Fancy Tags #2 and sponged the edges with Distress Broken China.

Stamped the Tea Canister (Scrollworks "Japanese Tea"), the outline Teapot & Teacups (gg designs) with the black & the Fortune Cookies (Scrollworks) with the Sepia. Added some ochre colored pencil to the cookies. Sponged Distress Broken China to the teapot and cups, added some of the yellow to the cups, stamped the flourishes with Chipped Sapphire, over stamped with Perfect Medium and clear embossed. Sponged some Spun Sugar and Broken China on the tea canister. Cut everything out.

Scored and folded my white cardstock. Cut a piece of Core d'nations dark brown cardstock slightly smaller than card front, sanded the edges and adhered to card. adhered all the elements in a pleasing maner.

The inside of the card, I stamped the quote with the black. Stamped the solid teapot image with some Broken China, lightly misted with water. Die cut the largest Spellbinders Deckled Edge Rectangle and used it as a mask to create my edge, sponging with the China and then the Vintage Photo.
