This is one of my submissions for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the November issue with the theme of "Found Textures".

I used a bamboo skewer, rolled in Distress stamp pads (Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China) and then rolled onto Arches text wove paper. See detail pic below. Misted the paper with water, lay a piece of paper towel on top to soak up excess moisture. Repeated the procedure on the damp paper. Rolled the bamboo skewer again with the Peeled paint and the Broken China, but did not mist this time, wanted to give some definition to the strokes.  Trimmed the paper down to size and cut out my circle with the Orbis circle scissor. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) onto the dropped out circle with Versafine Black Onyx. Set this aside and continued with the decorated paper. Using the sponging tool around all the edges with Frayed Burlap and Aged Mahogany. Rubber stamped the swirl stamp (#549A from Old Island Rubber Stamps)  randomly, keeping some open areas for interest, and used Color Box Petal Points Peacock Gold and Queen's Gold embossing powder. Tied a bow in the blue stain ribbon and adhered it with double sided tape, trying to keep the satin on top and adhered the ends to the back of the paper..

Placed the decorated paper onto my folded card, keeping the borders even, and lightly penciling a few points for the circle. Removed the decorated paper and realigned my Orbis scissors and cut out the smaller circle. Adhered my decorated paper to the card front and the dropped out circle to the inside of the card.

Colored some white copy paper using the Spiced Marmalade and the Broken China, then with my Carl mini Sakura punch, punched out about 18 flowers and placed them pleasingly around the circle. When I was happy, glued them down with some white glue. Added a couple leaves that I cut with my Cricut. (Didn't have the right leaves in a punch BIG GRIN). Glued a "Snow White" glass bead in the center of each flower with more white glue.
