This is one of my submissions for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the December issue with the theme of "Xmas Ornaments".

And this is another of the brayering with inks onto embossing folders. Lots of fun.

This one starts out with white 65# cardstock and uses the Snowflakes embossing folder #37-1140. The female side of the embossing folder was brayered with Perfect Medium, cardstock place in the folder, run through the Cuttlebug, cardstock removed and then thermal embossed with a Queen's Gold embossing powder. Trimmed and mounted it to a red card attaching the ornament hook behind the embossed design.

The bottom piece was also put through the Cuttlebug (one side at a time to have a void in the center for the quote). The male portion was brayered with Versafine Toffee and thermal embossed with the Queen's Gold. The quote (Quietfire Design) was stamped and embossed like the snowflakes. I added a gold/red ribbon and adhered it with double sided tape.

For the pewter ornament, I cut a rectangle of pewter a little larger than my finished size. Drew my design on the back using a blunt pencil. Put a very thin layer of vaseline (helps with the friction of metal to metal) and using a stylus on a soft mat, scored my design. Turned the pewter to the front (a touch of vaseline) and on a hard surface scored on either side of my first scored line. This produces a channel and raises the original score making it more distinctive. The channel will also collect the patina or paint and not be as easily removed. When all my score lines and scratches were done, cleaned both sides with some rubbing alcohol. Then used a Sharpie to get into all the little marks and channels, rubbed off the Sharpie with a clean soft cloth, leaving some of the ink in the crevices. Used Mona Lisa leafing size in the center, let become tacky dry and put a piece of Mona Lisa "Dawn" leaf. Removed excess leaf and burnished.

Cut a piece of white chipboard the size required, wrapped my pewter around it, mitering the corners. Cut a piece of red scrapbook paper, rubber stamped a couple snowflakes (Fancy Pants "Blissfull Season" set) and thermal embossed some with white detail and some with Pearl White embossing powder. Adhered it to the back adding some text with a black micron pen. (Date and from)

Used the embossing folder as a stamp, brayering the male side with Versafine Toffee and stamping onto white photo copy paper. Adhered it to the inside of my card.
