This is another submission for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the May 2010 issue with the theme of "Ribbons".

It's a step card that has a lot of potential. Do the steps on one or the other side, on both sides or in the middle.

Cut, score & fold card as per template design (see below). Solid lines are cut and dash lines are scored.

Stamp quote (Quietfire Design) with Majestic Blue on white cardstock, clear emboss, die cut with appropriate Spellbinder's Labels 4 die, run through machine again embossing it, sponge the green & blue Distress colors (Shabby Shutters, Broken China) around edges. Adhere ribbon to back of card on both sides with some tape at about 1/3 down from top fold, cut off excess ribbon to tie a bow and adhere with some Glossy Accents. Punch out Paper Shapers butterfly from decorative paper and adhere pleasingly only on the body section. Lift wings.

Stamp the words Happy Birthday with (Designer Alphabet #CL069 Hero Arts) stamp set, using Kaleidacolor Spectrum stamp pad on white cardstock, (use floral elements to divide the words or as an apostrophe), clear emboss and cut around top section of letters and trimming bottom close to the letters. Adhere to front of card. Sponge a bit of Distress to make it less white.

Die cut several leafy sprigs, press into the Fresh Green pad to ink it all over and clear emboss. I did it with my bare fingers, which inked up the back at the same time but left a mess on my fingers. Use rubber gloves if you want. Punch out the Monarch butterfly and a couple Daisies and couple Sakura flowers. Run the daisies through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. Ink up all elements same as leafy sprigs but using the Spectrum pad. Clear emboss. Brayer with Toffee over high points on Daisy and emboss with gold. Trim elements to fit on card pleasingly and adhere with Glossy Accents.
