ID: VSN June09 - Brayer - Light
Tomorrow
Created: June 20, 2009 I rubber stamped and clear embossed a piece white cardstock all over with the "Large Flourish" and various "Sentiment Words" (All from Quietfire Design). Then brayered it various colors of Distress Reinkers all on the same brayer (Speedball foam one). Then ironed the embossed images off with a hot iron and between newprint. I used my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities Classic large Ovals to die cut the two sizes. First from the background paper with the largest one. Adhered that to the purple metallic cardstock and onto my beige Bazzill monochromatic cardstock. Cut out the next sized oval. While card was closed rubber stamped the quote (also Quietfire Design) onto the inside of the card using Versafine stamp pad (Vintage Sepia). I added one of my calligraphic sentiment Peel Offs "Friends". |
I took a scrap piece of the main card and put a piece of double sided tape on it, then stuck my Peel Offs butterfly onto if (both negative and positive portions). Cut out the butterfly shape. Then peeled off the negative portions piece by piece and dropped on various colors of Ritz micro fine glitter, burnishing each with my finger to make it stick and to bring out the glitz of the glitter. When done, I curled the wings over a pencil to give them lots of shape, as well as folding them back from the body. I adhered only the body portion to the card.
