ID: VSN June09 - Brayer - Amen
Created: June 20, 2009 I love this background. I brayered (rubber one) Golden's Light Molding paste onto a piece of Canson "Biggie" 90# watercolor paper (wrong side, it's smoother). I love the texture it created. I then brayered Distress Reinkers (foam one) over the dried molding paste. Several colors letting colors dry between applications. Careful not to press too hard with the overlaying color or it will remove the one below. I then brayered a mix of the Tim's Distress Ink/Perfect Pearls mixture to get that nice shimmer. I used my Cuttlebug and Nestabilities Classic Scalloped large circles to die cut the various sizes. First from the background paper with the third largest one. Adhered the background to a decorative gold leaf paper and cut the next sized circle. Adhered these to the bazzill cardstock and cut the next size circle. Adhered the drop out from the first layer to the inside of the card and within the confines of the cut out circles. I then rubber stamped the quote, Quietfire Design, with Versafine "Spanish Moss" (while the card was closed). |
I punched out various elements of floral petals and leaves (Marvy - 2 sizes of Daisy flowers, Carl punches - Sakura flowers, EK Success - Rock Fern) and adhered them to the card adding a faux rhinestone in the centers of each flower. Rubber stamped the other 2 words (also from Quietfire Design) with Versafine "Black Onyx"
