This is the final submission for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the October 2010 issue with the theme of "Your favorite scoring tool". Mine happens to be the Scor-It board. Love it.

And in making these cards I realized it has an advantage over the ScorPal. With the ScorPal your lines are formed within a grove, whereas with the Scor-It your lines are formed on top of a stainless steel rule, so you can use it as a support if you want to sand your line down.

I love the way this card glows. It is just so vibrant and alive.

I scored and folded my burgundy/grey two tone card.

Cut a piece of white cardstock to size and rounded the corners, then scored my lines. Sponged Distress Mustard Seed, Walnut Stain, and Wild Honey, concentrating the Mustard all over, the walnut at the score lines and intersecting line and the Honey around the edges. Misted and dried.

Stamped the quote (Quietfire Design) with Versafine Black Onyx. Stamped the Fall Flourish (Great Impressions) with Vintage Sepia & touched sections with the black, then repeated the stamping in another area. Colored the leaves with Prisma Colored Pencils. adhered this layer to the main card.

Created the Rosette from a piece of thick rice paper I had in my scrap drawer. It was a serendipitous piece. It was the underlayer of another piece which I had saturated with various colored inks and they bled through to the underlayer. Anyway, I cut the piece to 1" x 12" and scored at 1/4" intervals until the end. Adhered both ends together, then adhered the center to a piece of scrap circle. Let that dry, then adhered a decorative scalloped circle to the top and then onto my card.

As a final touch add the red half pearls to where the berries are on the stamped image.
