I have lots of ideas for corners. These corners were made with the brayered background technique, black gesso on white tissue paper and then painted with acrylics.
So I brayered Ross Jones black gesso onto the white tissue paper, several layers of gesso, drying between layers. I only did the front, but the back can also be gessoed for added strength. When dry, I brayered Making Memories Specialty Glaze paint (Rose Petal, Emerald, Sea Foam, Ruby) and Deco Art Dazzling Metallics "Emperor's Gold". The brayering/gesso crinkles the paper adding texture.
I did an off set weave pattern using wide and narrow Quilling strips (Paplin's) in metallic copper and a metallic dark green. Mounted this to a crystal speckled white textured paper.
Cut ovals with a Cuttlebug and Spellbinders Classic Oval Nestabilities die from the speckled white paper. Rubber stamped the Lilies (Stubby Stampers #2300) onto some Arches Text Wove paper (nice paper for watercolors) with semi dry Versafine Black Onyx stamp pad and used Tombows to color them in. Cut the lilies out, cut a slit in the throat of each flower and added large bright yellow stamen then adhered the flower to the larger white oval and onto the woven patterned layers. Rubber stamped the quote (Quietfire Design "I am the connections") with Versafine "Olympia Green" on the smaller oval and adhered it to the woven patterned layers.
The corners were punched out of the background paper described above using an EK Success Moroccan Lace border punch. Folded and adhered to the corners with some white glue putting some smaller yellow stamen in the central portion of the scallops. Mimics the lily.
All these layers were then mounted to a dark green cardstock.
