This is another submission for the Vamp Stamp Magazine for the June 2010 issue with the theme of "Postcard".

On a larger sheet than needed of white cardstock, I sponged Distress pads, keeping to a green area at the bottom, and the pink and blues for the sky and reflection in the water. Misted with water, then sprinkled water randomly, let set for a couple seconds for the water to activate the dye inks, then started to dry. Cut postcard to size, keeping about 1/3 at the bottom for green.

I inked up the stamp, rock pine/tree (Stampscapes "Nature Sheet 4" #18B) with the green then touched areas with the sepia, stamp about the half way point. Ink up again and stamp a little coming into the scene on the right side slightly above the first stamping. Clean stamp, then ink up just the rock area and stamp it so it seems it's breaking the land from the water. Ink up the trees as above, and stamp them on the left going slightly off and above the postcard. Finally ink the quote stamp (Quietfire Design) and place it at around the shoreline.

Use colored pencils to color the rocks a bit and put more definition on the shoreline and upper horizon line. With a black pen, draw in your birds and some grass sprigs.
