This is another entry for a June 2010 issue with a theme of Monochromatic Mania at Scrap & Stamp magazine.

I started out by rubber stamping the Bamboo sprig (Inkadinkado "Asian by Design" set) with Versafine "Vintage Sepia" on a white silky polyester speckled material. Then the Asian symbol and word for "Friend" (Inkadinkado "GV" 3 piece set), also with the Vintage Sepia. Made a coup of strong tea (1 bag with 3/4C hot water) and soaked my material in it for a few minutes. Wrung it out and pressed it between two pieces of paper towel to absorb most of the moisture, then ironed it flat. Trimmed a piece of white cardstock down to size, layered with double sided tape and lay my material down, burnishing it into the tape. Using the iron again, pressed the material flat to the back of the cardstock so it had neat crisp edges, cut on the diagonal at the corners to have those neat as well. Put some double sided tape to hold things down. Mounted this to a dark brown textured cardstock (Textura  similar to Bazzill Monochromatic). Adhered that to my main cream card.

Rubber stamped the sentiment "Letters Mingle Souls" (Quietfire Design) onto a piece of very thin REAL piece of cork with the Vintage Sepia. Trimmed it down and mounted to the dark brown cardstock then onto the main card.

I used a piece of natural colored parchment stationary for the inside and rubber stamped the Bamboo sprig with VersaMagic "Sahara Sand".
