Polka Doodle Week #7 sketch challenge for February (see below) and to use a bird somewhere on the card.

I love this Cuttlebug folder of the owl. So I ran it through my Cuttlebug, then colored the owl with Tombow markers. Thermal embossed the scroll work with "Magnolia" and colored the sky area sponging with Distress stamp pads. Cut out the circle with my EK Success "Orbis" circle scissors, and one a bit larger from Bazzill monochrom, a rust color.

The words "Life's a Hoot" was cut with my Cricut, including the circles/ovals and the corresponding shadows.  I colored the white cardstock words with the distress colors (Broken China, Mustard Seed & Worn Lipstick). Adhered them to a heavy textured olive toned cardstock. Used a large corner rounder.

Used a gauzy variegated ribbon on the bottom. Rubber stamped the "Happy Birthday" (Quietfire Design) using the Spanish Moss and the Magnolia embossing powder, cut with the Spellbinder's oval die set and adhered to card. Added 3 amber rhinestones.
