Another of my friends from our Wednesday get togethers had this pretty card with the 3D quilt blocks. I thought I'd made one before - a long long time ago, but can't find it on my website... C'est la Vie. So I decided to make one now. BIG GRIN I'm extremely happy with the results. And a good way to use scraps...

I'm using a die "Warm Thoughts" 2 pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a rubber stamp quote designed by Suzanne Cannon and available on Quietfire Design "Sleeping Under A Quilt"

Scored and folded my white cardstock to create the easel structure. Cut a piece of blue cardstock and adhered to front.

To create the quilt blocks: punch 1" circles. Cut a square that fits within the circle and touches the edges of the circle. I cut my square 5/10"square to use as a scoring template and is a miniscule smaller so that when you score for the folds the points will land on the edge of the circle. Fold up all sides. Now place them pleasingly on a piece of white cardstock. When satisfied, adhere to cardstock. Add cut squares around edge. Add lace or ribbon if desired. Adhere to front of card.

Die cut the "Warm Thoughts" from a dark blue and a gold pearl cardstock. Adhere both together slightly off set then onto card front.

On the floor:

Stamp the quote onto white cardstock using Versafine Blue Lagoon and embossing with Stampendous "Pearl Luster" embossing powder.

Die cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" and sponge lightly with a Distress blue around the edges. Cut another rectangle, one size larger from a deep blue and adhere together, then adhere to floor with 3D foam tape to act as my stopper.

Tie a double loop bow from Sari ribbon and adhered to floor adding a blue button using hot glue.
