ID: Feb/19 - Easel Kite - ECD Fun, A, Perfect, Day - Kites Rise Higher" card
size: 5"w x 7"H

Created: February 18, 2019
Modified:

I've wanted to make a kite card since I got this stamp from Quietfire... but other things kept getting in the way. Sigh. Finally!!!

I'm using a die "Fun" 2pce set, "a" 3pce set, "Perfect" 2pce set, "Day" 3pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE

I'm also using a rubber quote stamp from Quietfire Design

("Kites Rise Higher...")

Scored and folded my light blue cardstock to create the easel structure. Cut a piece same size as card  and adhered to card front.

Dry embossed the sky (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Clouds" embossing folder on white cardstock. Hit high points with Distress "Tumbled Glass" and then a touch of "Salty Ocean". Trimmed down and adhered to a deeper blue textured cardstock, then onto card front.

Hand drew and cut the kite from a decorative alcohol background with gold foil I made a while back. Adhered to card front adding the black cross structure, burgundy string and the little alcohol background bows.

Die cut the "Fun" from a decorative light purplish background made with webbing and embossing powders. (from my stash...)

Stamped the quote using Versafine "Deep Lagoon" and embossing with Stampendous "Pearl Lustre Sapphire" embossing powder on light blue cardstock. Die cut with Spellbinder's oval die set, then a larger oval from the blue textured cardstock. Adhered both together and then onto card front.

Added a piece of mauve toned twine to the kite to fly it...

On the floor:

Die cut the "A Perfect Day"  from another decorated cardstock from my stash also done with webbing and embossing powders. Adhered to floor.

Stamped the "Happy Birthday" using the blue and embossing with Stampendous "Pearl Lustre Sapphire" embossing powder. Partially die cut with the ovals die and adhered partially to floor to act as my stopper.
