ID: MC Sept/18 - Accordion Xmas Vignette - ECD Noel - May The Christmas Season card
size: 7"w x 5"H (card laying relatively flat)

Created: September 5, 2018
Modified:

I recently saw an accordion style box card and it dawned on me I could make one of the vignette's in that style... saves the slotting and tabs of the inserts...

I'm using an A Way With Words dies  "Noel" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using one of the newest Christmas stamps from Quietfire Design which I love...

("May the Christmas Season...")

I used my Martha Stewart scoring board, scoring at 7", 7.25", 7.50", 7.75", 8", 8.25" & 8.5" and then at 15.5", 15.75", 16", 16.25", 16.5" 16.75" and 18" leaving a small tail end which I used to glue the accordion together after all inserts were adhered.

Die cut the openings using Spellbinders "Majestic Labels 25".

Stamped the back piece using Penny Black "Dressed I Snow" inking the two trees separately leaving a wide space between. Inked with Versafine Black Onyx for the tree on right and "Olympia Green" on the left. Sponged some blues into the sky.

Created an electronic cut file for the house (Chocolate Baroque "English Cottages") then stamped with the black and colored with Distress pads and colored pencils. Adhered to background.

Added some smoke in the chimney with a white gel pen.

Die cut some Xmas trees (Sizzix Tim's "Tree Line") from a dark green textured cardstock. Cut trees apart and adhered to the insert.

Die cut the large tree (Dee's Distinctively "Snow Covered Staked Tree") from white cardstock and sponged some Distress green. Adhered to the front insert layer. added some Stickles red glitter balls.

Assembled the layers adhering to the accordion folds.

Die cut the "Noel" from a green metallic cardstock and adhered to card front.

Stamped the quote using the black, clear embossed, die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Circles" set, sponged some red around the edges and adhered to card front.
