I needed to make a couple calligraphed cards to submit for our Guild's next journal... So I pulled out my hand carved Cactus stamps and some hand made flowers I made a while back...

I'm using an A Way With Words dies  "Sending Hugs Kisses" 3pce set, "Calligraphic Elements 2" 3pce set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm also using a sentiment  stamp from Quietfire Design 

("Calligraphic Love Bits" 6pce set); 

Scored and folded my cream toned cardstock. Cut another piece same size as card in a brownish/green Core'dinations cardstock and adhered to front.

Stamped the various cactus elements using Distress pads on a piece of cream cardstock. 

Did the calligraphy using a 2.4 Parallel pen and Sumi ink in an Uncial style. Trimmed down and adhered to front.

Adhered my flowers (Die-Namics "Hybrid Heirloom Roses") created from various Color Burst decorated cardstocks.

Added a few thorns with a black fine tipped pen.

On the floor: Die cut the Hugs & Kisses from some scrap cardstock, inked with Versamark and embossed with  Lindy's Stamp Gang "Midnight Gold Obsidian" embossing powder. Adhered to a scored piece of the cream cardstock and then onto the floor to act as my stopper.

Adhered a scrap piece of the brownish/green cardstock. Stamped the sentiment onto cream cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" die set. Adhered to floor.

Added a rhinestone flourish.
