size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: October 19, 2017
Modified:

A challenge called for a non rectangle or square card... so here's an oval easel and since there are a ton of fall challenges...

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Happy Birthday Small" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And I'm using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design as well as a Silhouette cut file for the fairy.

("A Rustle In The Wind..." 4pce set );

(Quietfire-Garden-Fairy-Tag)

Created the leafy background using Prairie Rubber Stamp. Inked with various fall colors of Distress pads and stamped onto white cardstock. Repeated to fill completely then misted with water to blurr the edge slightly. Die cut with the largest of Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Ovals" die set.

Electronically cut the oval shaped easel card from a rusty brown textured cardstock. Scored and folded and cut another oval, adhering to front.

I found my background oval too large and didn't have enough of the card base showing, so die cut with the next size down... Adhered to front.

Created an electronic file for the maple leaves (Rubber Necker "Maple Leaf"), cut from white cardstock, inked the stamp with the Distress pads and stamped. Moved the inks around a bit with a wet brush. Adhered to edge of card.

Die cut the other leaf (Ramsey "Maple Leaf") from white cardstock and hit it direct to paper with the Distress pads. Adhered to right edge.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

On the floor: Used the scrap piece f the oval die cuts and adhered to floor.

Die cut the oak leaf (Die-Versions "Old Oak Leaves - Whispers") from white cardstock. Direct to paper with "Forest Moss" and "Rusty Hinge" on the acorns. Electronically cut an under layer, applied glue all over it, adhered the die cut and then sprinkled with various glitters. Cut it apart and reassembled onto card floor.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday", inked with "Carved Pumpkin and embossed with Emerald Creek "Thanksgiving" embossing powder.

Cut a piece of white cardstock the width of my ribbon. Adhered the ribbon (Sheer Butterflies Lavender), trimming the left edge to contour with the oval and a picot on the right edge. Adhered to floor. Adhered the Happy Birthday die cut.

Electronically cut the fairy from white cardstock. I had a Prisma Color Premier marker "Light Olive Green" on my desk so colored the fairy with it... and had a Spectrum NoirCT4 marker for the wings. Applied Versamark on the wings only and clear embossed, then heat the embossing and sprinkled with a couple colors of glitter.

Cut a narrow piece of the rust cardstock, scored down the middle and adhered to floor to act as my stopper. adhered the fairy to it and the floor as well.
