ID: MC Oct/17 - Easel Blue Poinsettia - ECD Peace - When This Christmas card
size: 7"w x 5"H (easel closed)

Created: September 30, 2017
Modified:

And this is another using that same Penny Black Poinsettia stamp... It was one of those Penny Black demos I was showing the gals how I create my images... and of course landed up with a bunch of images ready for card making BIG GRIN. You can see the pink one HERE

I'm using an A Way With Words dies "Peace"  from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design.

("When This Christmas...")

Scored, folded my light aqua cardstock to create the easel. Cut another piece same size as card and adhered to front.

I used Tim's Stamping Platform, Arches HP 110# watercolor paper and a Penny Black stamp ("Scarlet Majesty"), Distress mini pads, a mini mister and a paintbrush. Inking and re-inking the stamp to get the saturation I wanted. Dried the flower thoroughly, then painted the background. Added Liquid Pearls yellow dots in the flower center. When dry, added dots with a sharpie pen.

Cut a piece of deep blue cardstock and punched the corners using an EK Success decorative corner punch. Trimmed the poinsettia piece down and adhered under corners, then adhered that to front of card.

Die cut the "Peace" from white cardstock, inked with Versafine "Majestic Blue" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Blue Sparkle" embossing powder.

On the floor: Stamped the quote onto white cardstock using the blue and clear embossed. Trimmed down and used a corner rounder on the corners. Sponged with a bit of Distress "Faded Jeans". Adhered to floor with 3D foam tape to act as my stopper.

Adhered a piece of blue variegated Sari ribbon to the floor.

Die cut the poinsettia (Elizabeth Craft Designs) from white cardstock, sponged the underlayer with the Faded Jeans and adhered the filigree layer at the center only, then onto the floor. Adhered a jewel to the center.
