There's a challenge on the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog using the negative portion of die cuts and I thought I'd enter it... BIG GRIN

I'm using a couple of dies and a stencil from Suzanne and Elizabeth Craft Designs. Suzanne came out with a bunch of stencils and I'm using the "Butterfly Kaleidoscope" (on Quietfire Design HERE). Then I'm  using die and a part of die from an A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Friends", "Hello"  also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

And using a sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design,

("Let Them Eat Cupcakes/Happy Birthday" 4pce set);

Scored and folded my lavender cardstock to create the easel, cutting another piece the same size as card for the front.

Sponged Distress Oxides ("Worn Lipstick", "Fossilized Amber", "Broken China"), direct to paper, die cut the word "Hello", applied some double sided adhesive to the back and then carefully adhered it to the deeper mauve cardstock, removing the positive word and leaving all the little bits of the negative. Sprinkled with "Diva" glitter. Trimmed down the deeper mauve cardstock and adhered to card front. Adhered the pearl ribbon using Glossy Accents. Adhered the various quilled elements I recently made... Punched out the butterfly (Martha Stewart) from some pink/glittered oxide background paper. Added Nuvo Crystal Drops "black" to the body and added some stamen.

On the floor: Continued with the oxide butterfly background.

Die cut the "Friends" from the pale lavender cardstock, carefully surgically cut the "s" away from the rest of the word, but leaving it in place, applied the double sided adhesive to the back, then adhering to the deeper mauve, carefully removing the positive piece and pressing down the negative pieces. Sprinkled with the "Diva" glitter. Trimmed down the deeper mauve piece and adhered to floor using 3D foam tape to act as my stopper. Adhered some small yellow quilled flowers to camouflage the surgical cut. Added the spray of quilled leaves.

Stamped the sentiment using Versafine "Black Onyx"
