I've been in a lacey frame of mind lately... And I had this roses die cut background that I cut a while back and never got around to using...

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Sending Hugs Kisses" 3pce die set  from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm also using a quote and element stamp from Quietfire Design

("The Earth Laughs In Flowers" 2pce set);

Adhered the lace trim on the top and bottom using double sided tape, then added a bead of glue along the lacey edge.

Die cut and embossed the rose background (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin Cut & Emboss "Flower Bramble") from a brownish Kraft cardstock. Hit the high points of the flowers with a yellow stamp pad and then embossed with yellow embossing powder. The die cut is approx 5"w x 7"h. I surgically cut it apart to created the 2 borders. Glue to card front.

Die cut the "Hugs" from a yellow cardstock.

Inside: 

Stamped the rose and quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Colored the rose with Prisma colored pencils

Sponged around edges with Distress "Fossilized Amber".

I had a small piece of the rose background left over, so voila, added to the card. BIG GRIN. Waste not want not...
