ID: MC July 17 - Easel Grasses - ECD Hugs - Sit Right Here - HB card
size: 4"w x 5.5"h (standing)

Created: July 2, 2017
Modified:

Just got a "new" embossing folder (Darice "Grasses") and after making my samples to put into my database book, I realized I already had it...sheesh. So I'm using one of the samples I made for this card...

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Hugs" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE

And I'm using parts of quotes and a sentiment from Quietfire Design

("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set); ("Garden Bench Collection" 4 pce set); ("Find Yourself a Cup..."); ("We Cannot Tell the Precise Moment... " 2 pce companion set)

Scored and folded my bright green cardstock to create the easel. Cut another piece same size as front and adhered.

Inked the negative side of the embossing folder (Darice "Grasses") using Distress pads "Broken China" and "Chipped Sapphire". Misted with water and embossed on white cardstock. Removed from folder and hit the high points with "Shabby Shutters" and "Forest Moss".

Die cut the Spellbinder's "Decorative Elements 8"  from another piece of the green cardstock. Adhered that the front.

Die cut using the same die from white cardstock, cut out a rectangle from the center to create a frame. Trimmed down and adhered my embossed design to the white piece,  then fitted it into the negative opening on the front of the card.

Die cut the "Hugs" from an orange toned cardstock and adhered to front.

Punched out the dragonfly and butterfly from a decorated watercolor paper and adhered to front.

Stamped the "my friend" using Versafine Black Onyx.

On the floor: Stamped the partial quotes and sentiment onto white cardstock using the black and clear embossed. Die cut using the same die cut set. Sponged some blue around the edges. Adhered to floor.

Electronically cut the Adirondack chair with summer hat from white cardstock. inked with Distress pads, using release paper to mask various areas.

On the hat adhered a piece of salmon toned narrow ribbon, then a flower lace ribbon. Tied a bow with the salmon ribbon.

Adhered the lower portion of the chair to the floor, scoring and creasing the score line to create my stopper.
