And here's another way to use up some of your scraps... embossed strips woven - Very easy to do.

I'm using an A Way With Words dies or parts of dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Celebrate" also available on Quietfire Design HERE

Also using a quote and sentiment  stamps from Quietfire Design

("The Earth Laughs In Flowers" 2pce set); ("Twirl and Enjoy" 3pce set); ("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set)

To create the weave strips: emboss using a narrow embossing folder (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Climbing Rose" set). I then used my "Scor-it" board to create embossed lines on either side of the embossing (gives a really defined embossed line...). Trimmed down close to the embossing (my strips were 3/4"w). Sponged and direct to paper with Distress pads ("Spun Sugar" & "Antique Linen"). Did the simple weaving and adhered to my easel front piece.

Scored and folded my dark brown cardstock (Paper-Garden.ca "Flavours Gourmet Cardstock - Moroccan Cocoa") to create the easel, then cut another piece the same size as front and adhered.

adhered all my quilled elements (leftovers from various 2016 quilling sessions...)

Die cut the "Celebrate" from the brown scraps and adhered to front.

Masked and stamped the "your day" on white cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Trimmed close to stamping and used a circle punch to round the ends. Sponged around with the sugar and linen. Cut the brown under layer and adhered both together then onto the card.

Stamped the "Happy Birthday" inking with Distress "Picket Fence" and embossing with white embossing powder.

Added a couple light pink half pearls

On the floor: Cut a small piece of the brown cardstock to act as my stopper, folding it in half and adhering more quilled flower, then adhering to the floor.

Stamped the quote using the white and embossing with the white. (looks like there is a bit of residue from my static powder...)

Adhered the bird on flowers piece raided from my electronically cut stamping stash... (Local King Rubber "Asian Essence")
