ID: MC Dec/17 - Snowflakes Tunnel Card - ECD Dec 25, Noel - Snowflakes Are The Fairydust card
size: 7"w x 5"H x 1"thk  (card closed)

Created: December 5, 2017
Modified:

One of the gals brought in the Tunnel die cut card structure from Heartfelt Creations. She had circles and ovals etc. I came home and decided I wanted to make one with a snowflake... So I created a file with my SCAL software and cut with my Silhouette machine. The bottom layer is the actual snowflake and the upper 2 layers are blackout shadows of the snowflake.

I'm using an A Way With Words dies "Noel" and  "Dec 25" from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm also using a quotes, design elements and background stamps from Quietfire Design.

("Snowflakes Are The Fairydust..."); ("Snowflakes Are The Butterflies..." 6pce set); ("Let It Snow - large"); ("Christmas Cuddler Words" 9pce set); (Good Friends Are Like..."); ("Those We Love Are Like..." 2pce set); ("Merry Christmas Background")

Cut all my pages from a dark blue/reverse side white cardstock. Created my hinge from the same cardstock, scoring every 1/4" both to attach the pages and space between pages. Cut my front and back pieces from white cardstock. Decorated everything and assembled.

To cover the hinge area, stamped the background Merry Christmas on white cardstock using Versafine "Blue Lagoon" and clear embossing. Trimming down and adhering.

Adhered a blue gauze ribbon, wrapping it around the back and then using it to create my closure, adding a huge clear diamond (the top of a Nuvo bottle that fell off...) and Velcro tab.

The large snowflake are the negative drop outs from the pages. I bordered the largest bottom layer with a Silver Krylon pen. The middle layer I left as is and adhered both together. The top layer I inked with Versamark and embossed with Emerald Creek "Soft Fallen Snow". adhered to other 2 layers with 3D foam tape. Adhered the little snowflake (cut from a dollar store garland...), painted with the silver pen and adhered to snowflake, then to card.

Stamped the quote using the blue lagoon, clear embossed.

Die cut the Noel from a dark blue cardstock.

Page 1: Dry  embossed the snowflake design, then lightly sanded the high points.

Painted the edge of the snowflake with the silver Krylon pen.

Stamped the quote on white cardstock using the blue and clear embossed. Die cut with a Spellbinders oval die set. Sponged edges with some Distress blue.

Adhered a white snowflake button and some aqua rhinestones.

Page 2: Stamped the snowflakes using various snowflakes from the Quietfire sets using Versanark and embossing with silver embossing powder.

Stamped the sentiments using Distress Picket Fence and embossing with white embossing powder.

Added some of the aqua rhinestones in the snowflake centers.

Page 3: Edged the snowflake with an embossing pen and embossed with the "Soft Fallen Snow" embossing powder.

Stamped the quote on white cardstock using the blue and clear embossed. Die cut with a Spellbinders oval die set. Sponged edges with some Distress blue.

Stamped the words using Distress Picket Fence and embossing with white embossing powder.

Adhered rows of blue rhinestones for a border. Added a couple snowflake brads and a small snowflake from the garland which I glued glitter too.

Page 3: Adhered a piece of Coral Reef heavy textured/heavy paper edge to edge on the back page.
