A long while back a friend gave me a wonderful napkin of London's iconic images... It was basically an over large napkin and every time I played with it just seemed over powering and it would get put back in the bin... My mind finally was inspired.

Suzanne asked us to use ribbon on cards... I'm using a "Solid 2 Tone Lt Blue" - check out the ribbons section at QuetfireDesign.ca

I'm using an A Way With Words die "Calligraphic Elements #1" 3pce die set & "Thinking Of You" 3pce die set from Elizabeth Craft Designs, also available on Quietfire Design HERE & HERE

And I'm using a sentiment stamp set from Quietfire Design

("You Are..." 5pce set)

Scored and folded my red textured cardstock to create the easel. Cut another piece same size as card and adhered to front.

Pulled a page from my Reader's digest (another friend's gift - I have great friends...), used my finger to apply some gesso randomly to mute the text.

With a wet paintbrush, worked around the images and then gently tore them away, then adhered them to the text background in a pleasing arrangement.

Adhered the text background to a piece of the red cardstock leaving a 1/16" border, then on to a white cardstock with a 1/8" border, then onto a blue pearlized cardstock with a 1/4" border, then onto my card front. My layering ruler set really came in handy...

Die cut the flourished heart from red cardstock, inked with Versamark and clear embossed. Adhered to front.

Die cut the letters (Sizzix Tm's Bigz "Word Play" die) from the light blue cardstock, sponged the edges with Distress "Faded Jeans" and adhered to front.

On the Floor: Stamped the sentiment using Versafine "Blue Lagoon" and clear embossed on white cardstock. Die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" again moving the die to get the size I wanted. Sponged the edges with the blue.

Adhered to floor, then adhered the Solid 2Tone light blue ribbon, tying a bow and adhering a filigree red heart using hot glue.

Die cut the words from a red, white and light blue cardstock. Adhered them together slightly off set each time. Adhered the "Thinking" to a piece of the red cardstock to act as my stopper and the other two words to the floor.
