ID: MC Apr/17 - Easel Yellow Roses - ECD Happy Birthday - Some People card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: April 18, 2017
Modified:

A friend asked me to think about making a yellow roses card and this is what I came up with this year... Love that background made with Tim's Oxide pads.

I'm using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Happy Birthday" also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a quote and sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design,

("Garden Delights..." 8pce set);  ("You Are" 5pce set)

Scored and folded my light purple toned cardstock to create the easel, cutting another piece the same size as card for the front.

Created the oxide background piece by applying various Oxide pads onto my craft sheet, misting with water and pressing the cardstock into the wetness, drying and repeating till I got the look I wanted. Die cut using Cuttlebug emboss & cut die "Brocade Frame". Trimmed and adhered to front piece.

Created a silhouette image from both rose stamps (Chocolate Baroque "Rose Fan" 6 pce set for the front and Stampendous "Rose Bouquet" 7pce set for the floor). Electronically cut them with my Silhouette cutter, inked with Distress pads, misted with water and stamped, then accented using Derwent Inktense watercolors and a wet paint brush.

Die cut the vase (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Ginger Jar") from white cardstock. Inked with Versafine Imperial Purple and embossed using Emerald Creek "Mardis Gras" embossing powder. Adhered to the solid background piece.

Stamped the quote using Distress Picket Fence and embossing using Ranger "Yellow" embossing powder

On the floor: Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from a pink cardstock, embossed using Cutlebug "Swiss Dots" embossing folder and while in the folder hit the high points using Distress "Seedless Preserves" pad.

Created a shadow layer for the "Happy Birthday" from dark purple. Adhered the two together, then adhered the bottom portion of the word to the floor as my stopper.

Stamped the various parts of the sentiments onto the center dropout piece from the brocade frame using my Misti and stamping with the Imperial Purple and embossing with Emerald Creek "Frosted Plum" embossing powder. Then die cut using Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Rectangles" die set.

Adhered the Stampendous Rose to the floor, then the sentiment piece.

Final touch added a Sari ribbon bow and a pearl jewel gem.
