As I mention recently I got a bunch of new Penny Black stamps and loving every one of them. Have been having fun painting them on watercolor paper...

I'm using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Dec 25"  also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a  quote  stamp  from Quietfire Design

("May You Have The Gladness...")

Scored and folded my gold metallic card (PaperGarden.ca) to create my easel, this is a really heavy cardstock... Cut another piece as my front panel.

I used my Misti tool, inked the Penny Black poinsettia "Scarlet Majesty" stamp with various Distress mini pads in appropriate colors on 90# Arches HP watercolor paper. Spread the inks around with a paint brush and water adding more color where needed. Added some background color, wet on wet technique. Trimmed down to size. Sponged the edges with a green and then some brown. Used Tim's distressing tool to distress the edges. Selectively embossed the corners using Couture Creations "Mini Poinsettia" embossing folder and my hard rubber mallet. Adhered to a red cardstock leaving a 1/8" border all around, then onto my gold card front.

Stamped the quote using Versafine "Spanish Moss" and then here and there with Black Onyx and clear embossed.

On the floor:

Stamped the rest of the quote on white cardstock, die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs Stitched Rectangles and sponged with the green and brown. Adhered to  a red layer die cut from the next size up of the rectangles. Adhered a piece of brown/silver Sari ribbon to the floor and then my quote piece.

Die cut the poinsettia (Tim's "Tattered Poinsettia") from a Brusho/Color Burst decorated watercolor paper. Adhered to floor adding dots of Liquid Pearls "Daffodil" and when dry, dots of "Onyx Pearl".

Die cut the "Dec 25" a dark green metallic cardstock. Adhered the bottom edge of the die cut to a thin piece of folded cardstock and then onto the floor to act as my stopper.
