ID: MC Sept/16 - Daisy - ECD Hello, Friend - A Friend card
size: 5"w x 7"h

Boy did I struggle with these daisies from Altenew... I usually swear by Distress pads for coloring and water coloring effects... but this time it really let me down. I had inked my stamp with Mustard Seed and some Picked Raspberry, hoping to get a yellowish pink. UGH with the additional layers. So I opted to ink the heavy detail layer with Picket Fence pad and emboss with white embossing powder. Surprisingly I really liked the results...

I'm using a couple of the  A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Hello" & "Friends" - also available on Quietfire Design HERE & HERE

And I'm using a quote stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design

("A Friend is Someone...");

I side folded my Shocking pink card...

Die cut the lattice work using Sizzix Tim's "Trellis" die and splicing together. Inked with Black and embossed with Emerald Creek "Hammer Metal" embossing powder. Adhered to a black frame. Adhered a piece of Amime lace paper (This is a white kozo fibre paper that is made in Gifu prefecture. The paper is a net pattern of holes that is made when a strong jet of water is forced through a screen onto a newly formed sheet.) to the back f the frame - diffusing the shocking pink color...

Created an electronic cut file for the daisy (Altenew "Spring Daisy"), placed it on my Misti tool and started coloring with the various stamps. As mentioned above, didn't like the results, so inked the heavier detail stamp with Picket Fence and embossed with white embossing powder. Inked the leaves, Adhered the various floral elements.

Die cut the "Hello" from a white cardstock and a black cardstock. Inked one of them with the raspberry and embossed with a neon pink embossing powder, then adhered the 2 layers together, slightly off set, then onto the card.

On the inside, Stamped the quote with Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock, clear embossed. Trimmed down and adhered to a couple of the trellis die cuts, then onto the card.

On the right side, adhered more white trellis pieces, an extra flower I created and the "Friend" die cut done the same as the Hello.
