It's World Card Making Day - Oct 1st., so Quietfire Design is doing a blog hop.... I made the flowers at my last quilling session so decided to use them. Found an image of the Christmas Cactus leaves and created variations in my photo editing program than uploaded it into my electronic cutter software.

I'm using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Merry Christmas" 2pce set  also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a  quote  stamp on the inside  from Quietfire Design

Embossed a piece of white cardstock using Carta Bella "Christmas Phrases". The folder is only 5.75"h so cut it apart, taped the bottom edge closed, and continued embossing to get the length I needed... Trimmed the sides down and adhered to card front.

Created the background paper for my leaves by misting my 90# watercolor paper (smooth side) with water, then sprinkling just about every green from the Brushos and the Color Bursts, then misting with more water, tilting here and there to get things running. Sprinkled with Schminke gold powder and when the paper was still damp but not soaking wet, sprinkled with coarse salt. Set aside to dry. When dry, brushed off the salt. Voila. Cut the leaves with my electronic cutter.

I had added a bunch of stamens to the quilled flowers, then adhered to the end of the leaves.

Die cut the "Christmas" from red cardstock. Adhered to card front and used a silver gel pen to add dots to each letter.

Tied a multi loop fork bow from green/gold variegated Sari ribbon.

On the Inside: 

Found a coloring digi image and printed out on white cardstock. Colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Stamped the quote, inking with Distress "Candied Apple" all over then here and there with "Mowed Lawn" Clear embossed.

Sponged some red around the edges. Added faux stitching with a red pen. Adhered to inside.
