- Off Set Circles - ECD Live & Laugh Birthday - Enjoy Your Day card
Created: October 2, 2016 I've recently come across Birch Press Design stackable die sets. A little pricey at $26 US which would make it about $35 Cdn plus shipping per die - and there are 3 dies to the set... So decided to create my own versions. I created my design in my photo editing program and then imported it into my electronic cutting software adding a shadow layer. I'm using several A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Live"; "Laugh"; "Calligraphic Elements 2 - Ampersand"; "Happy Birthday" 2 pce set. All also available on Quietfire Design HERE; HERE; HERE; & HERE I'm using a quote/sentiment stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design ("Twirl & Enjoy" 3 pce set)

I cut my circle
elements and the shadow layer. Leaving the piece on the mat, painted
the top layer with Distress daubers in a dry brush technique
("Mustard Seed"; "Spiced Marmalade";
"Victorian Velvet"; "Mowed Lawn"; &
"Broken China"). Removed from mat and kept the drop out
circles. Painted the shadow layer with "Ground Espresso".
I had a bunch of off cuts in these 2 shades of green, so spliced them together and adhered my circle piece on top, then onto my side folded white card. Die cut the various words "Live"; "Laugh" "Ampersands" & Birthday" from various scraps on my desk. Inked them with a Distress "Mowed Lawn" pad and embossed the words on the front with Emerald Creek "Green Sparkle" embossing powder and the ones on the inside with "Verdigris" embossing powder. Stamped the quote/sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Adhered a bunch of the drop out circles. Drew in my balloon lines and doodads with a black marker. Tied a couple small twine bows and adhered with glue. |
