ID: MC Oct16 - Easel Celestial Milky Way - ECD Love, Merry Christmas - Wish You Were Here card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: October 21, 2016
Modified:

And this is another card created to show the gals at our next get together. I'm using the same colors as the previous card which you can see HERE, and HERE and added some oranges and purples and did another streak in the sky. The inspiration for this one came from some Canadian postage that came out several years ago...

I'm using a couple of an A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Love" and "Merry Christmas" also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm using a sentiment stamp  from  Quietfire Design

("In A Perfect World" 4pce set);

Scored, folded my black card to create the easel.

Created the Celestial Sky (you can see the basic technique HERE). I added "Wild Honey", "Carved Pumpkin", "Fossilized Amber" and ""Seedless Preserves" to the basic color mix, especially in the streaky area, and more yellows in the sky. Adhered to card front.

Created a moon, punching out a 1-5/8" circle. Very lightly sponged "Weathered Wood all over, then embossed with UTEE which left lots of crevices. I then sponged more of the weathered wood and added "Pumice Stone".

Die cut the border (Spellbinders "Holly Frame"). I then cut out the center leaving a scant border. Adhered to my sky. Adhered the moon.

Die cut the "Love" from white cardstock and a fuchsia cardstock. Adhered both layer together and slightly offset, then onto the card front.

Raided my stash of die cut letters (Elizabeth Craft Designs "Alphabet") for the "You" and adhered to front.

Stamped the "To the Moon and Back" using Just Rite "Brayton" alphabet stamps inking with Distress "Picket Fence" and embossing with white embossing powder.

On the floor:

Cut a strip of black cardstock and folded to create a stopper, adhered to the floor.

Stamped the "Wish You Were Here" using the picket fence and the white embossing powder.

Adhered a piece of pink/purple/ gold Sari ribbon. Die cut the "Merry Christmas" from white textured cardstock, then adhered on top of ribbon.

Stamped the moon sliver (Faerie Song) using the white stamp pad and white embossing powder.

Punched a bunch of stars from white cardstock, applied Quickie glue and sprinkled with Stickles dry glitter "Star Dust".
