ID: MC Oct16 - Easel Anenome - ECD Thanks - Just Living card
size: 5"w x 7"h (easel closed)

Created: October 8, 2016
Modified:

Seems like someone made a spelling mistake at Indigo Blue... Should read Anemone... But even with the spelling error, I loved the stamp image. BIG GRIN

I'm using an A Way With Words die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Thanks"  also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a  quote  stamp  from Quietfire Design

("Just Living is Not Enough"); ("Thanks - Cuddlers" 7pce set)

Scored, and folded my mid gray card to create the easel. Cut another piece for my front.

I used my Misti tool, inked the  flowers only (Indigo Blue "Anemone Corner") stamp with various Distress mini pads in appropriate colors on 90# Arches HP watercolor paper, clear embossed. Painted the flowers with watercolors. Inked the rest of the stamp with green and embossed with Emerald Creek "Verdigris" embossing powder. Some of it merged into my flowers... Painted the background. Ironed off the embossing powder on the flowers only between sheets of newsprint.

Trimmed down and adhered to an alcohol decorated frame border I had laying on my desk from a previous project (Birch Trees). Adhered this to a deep gray cardstock leaving a 1/8" border all around. Then adhered it to my easel.

On the floor:

Stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and die cut with Elizabeth Craft Designs "Stitched Ovals", sponging the edge with light pink. Adhered to floor.

Created a silhouette image of the anemone and electronically cut, then inked the stamp with Distress "Picket Fence" and embossed with white detail embossing powder. Painted the flowers and cut them apart. Adhered them around the oval.

Added a pink narrow ribbon bow.

Die cut the "Thanks" from a light pink cardstock. Scanned the die cut and cut a shadow layer with my electronic cutter from white cardstock, then painted with Distress Daubers "Black Soot". Adhered the 2 layers together. Cut a piece of the gray cardstock the width of the card, scored to create a stopper and adhered to floor. adhered the Thanks to the stopper.
