ID:  MC Nov/16 - Side Easel Heirloom Roses - ECD Thanks - Happy Retirement card
size: 7"w x 5"h (easel closed)

Created: November 11, 2016
Modified:

I was commissioned to make a retirement card for a caregiver lady. This I think is the first retirement card I've ever made... I'm content.

I'm using an A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Thanks", also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a sentiment stamp  from  Quietfire Design

("Thanks - Cuddlers" 7pce se);

Scored, and folded and cut my mid green toned textured cardstock to create the side easel. Cut a 2nd  piece from the green and adhered to front.

Cut a white piece of cardstock and embossed with Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Rosa", trimmed down, sponged edges with Distress "Wild Honey" and adhered to front.

I had the die cut roses already assembled in my stash (Die-Namics "Heirloom Hybrid Roses" done on watercolor paper colored with Colour Burst and some gold powder). Adhered to front.

I created the silhouette images for this stamp set (Flourishes "Falling Leaves") a long time ago, cut from more decorated watercolor paper, then stamps with Versafine Black Onyx.

Stamped the "Happy Retirement" (Just Right "Curlz alphabet set") on white cardstock using the black and clear embossed. Trimmed down and sponged the edges with the Honey. Adhered to a piece of the green cardstock. Adhered to front adding small gold half pearls.

On the Floor: Stamped the sentiment "For everything" (Quietfire Design) using the black and clear embossed. Then stamped the "Over the years" using the Just Rite "Brayton" alphabet set, inking with the black and clear embossing. Die cut with Marianne die set "LR0235". Sponged edges with the Honey and adhered to floor, adding a small green narrow ribbon bow.

Another silhouette image of the stamp (CC Designs "Dragonfly Floral") cut from white cardstock, stamped with the black, clear embossed and painted with QoR watercolors. The dragonfly wings were painted with clear Wink of Stella and some red and green dropped into the wetness. Dried and adhered to floor. Added medium sized gold half pearls to the flower centers.
