I recently got a Penny Black "Perfect Pear" stamp and said this was the perfect time to pair it with (yes pun intended...) the 12 Days of Christmas stamp set from Suzanne at Quietfire Design...

I'm using an A Way With Words dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Celebrate"  also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a sentiment stamp set  from  Quietfire Design

("12 Days of Christmas" 14pce set )

I started with a 12 x 12 piece of black cardstock, cut it at the 5.25h and then accordion folded it at 4", & 8". Repeated and then spliced the 2 sections together at the back.

Die cut the "Celebrate" from a creamy white cardstock and a red cardstock. Adhered the two together, slightly off set.

Stamped the "12 Days of Christmas" using Picket Fence and white embossing powder.

Stamped the "and my true love gave to me" (Just Rite "Brayton" alphabet stamp set) with the picket fence and white embossing powder.

Tied a big and wide - 1.5"w gold metallic gauzy ribbon bow around the  accordion to keep it closed. I decided to keep it unattached so it slides off easily.

I used the Penny Black "Perfect Pears" stamp, inking with Distress mini pads and stamping on 90# Arches HP watercolor paper, then using a wet paintbrush to move the colors. Adding blue to the background. Dried then stamped the sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossing.

I stamped the remaining 12 days onto white cardstock using the black and clear embossing. Cut them  close to the stamping adding a picot edge. Hit the edges direct to paper with "Festive Berries" pad, then sponged around the edges.

Created a silhouette image, imported to my  electronic cutter software and cut out the dove image from white cardstock, then stamped (Flourishes "Doves & Holly") using the black and clear embossed. colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Inked a piece of white cardstock with Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with gold embossing powder. Punched out the rings using 2 sizes of punches, then adhered them overlapping.

Made a silhouette image of the swans (Local King Rubber "Canadian Geese"... they look more like swans to me...) and cut with my electronic cutter from white cardstock. Stamped with Distress Picket Fence and embossed with white embossing powder, then used a marker for the beak. Used a Distress pad (I think Antique Linen) to color the baby swans.

Again created a silhouette image of the two stamps (both are All Night Media "Troup de Mlle Eglantine 485J20" & "A Gaiety Girl #485J18"). Cut with my electronic cutter, stamped with black, clear embossed and colored with Prisma colored pencils.

Lacking the appropriate stamps.... I searched online and found silhouette type images of the piper and drummers, electronically cut them and colored with Prisma colored pencils.
