One of my quilling friends sent me a pic of some quilled pansies which I thought were really pretty... but I hadn't realized she wanted me to figure out how to make them... She reminded me this past quilling session, so here is my version... I'm pleased with the results. You can see the inspiration image HERE

One of the NEWEST "A Way With Words" die sets which will be released later this month from Elizabeth Craft Designs "4 Seasons" and from the current release ("Happy Birthday" 2pce die), designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE & HERE). 

I'm also using part of a quote stamp on the front and part of a sentiment stamp on the floor from Quietfire Design  

("In A Perfect World" 4pce set); ("We Cannot Tell..." 2 pce companion set);

 

Scored and folded my green toned cardstock to create the easel. Adhered a solid piece to my front so that when it was opened, there would still be a green background.

Die cut the lattice work piece (Marianne Designs LR0236 - still having problems cutting it...) from white cardstock, inked the lattice part and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Silver Satin Pearl" embossing powder.

Adhered a piece of green/silver Sari ribbon along the center, then the lattice piece.

Die cut the "Spring" from a Colour Burst decorated watercolor paper.

Stamped the quote, minus the word "miles" using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. eCut the word "seasons" which I thought was on Silhouette onLine store, but can't find it there... it is Suzanne calligraphy though from another piece of the colour burst paper. eCut a shadow layer from a burgundy cardstock (Dreamweaver stencil backing cardstock...). Adhered the 2 layers together, then on to the card.

Downloaded some pansy leaf images, converted them to a cut file and cut from the same colour burst paper. Scored vein lines on the back, then hit the high points with a Distress pad "Mowed Lawn". Adhered all my pansy and leaf elements.

As a final touch added some square shaped mini rhinestones in purple and pink.

On the floor: Die cut the Spellbinders "Label 42" small square shape 3 times from white cardstock, inked the border area with Versafine "Imperial Purple" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Frosted Plum" embossing powder.

Created an eCut file the width of the 3 die cut pieces including the little notches at either end... sponged around the edges with "Seedless Preserves" and adhered the 3 die cuts to the back.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from white cardstock and inked/embossed as the frames. Adhered to frame assembly.

Stamped the "My Friend" using the black and clear embossed.

Adhered a couple of the pansy leaves.
