I was making color swatch samples of my new Ken Oliver Color Burst colors on 90# CP watercolor paper and decided not to waste the rest of the paper and just continued squirting colors here and there... then die cut the whole paper using Creative Expressions die Sue Wilson "Gemini - Dorado" set. Needless to say I had quite a few die cuts...

I'm using one of the NEWEST "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs ("Celebrate"), designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE).

I'm also using a quote & sentiment stamps from Quietfire Design

("Celebrate" 4pce set); ("We Cannot Tell The Precise..." 2pce companion set); ("Be With Those")

I scored and folded my cream toned cardstock to create the easel.

As mentioned above, die cut a bunch of the Dorado borders from the Color Burst decorated watercolor paper. Decided where I wanted the borders to land and cut an under layer using the outside doe from the set. Trimmed off the excess swirl on the side pieces. adhered them to the under layer and then on to the card front.

Stamped the "Just for you" using Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with Queen's Gold embossing powder.

Stamped the "My Friend" using Versafine Black Onyx.

The rose is from my stash using Die-Namics "Hybrid Heirloom Rose" set.

The leaf sprig (Altenew "Peony Bouquet") is also from my stash, eCut and then stamped with the black and colored Tombow's

The butterfly (Memory Box "Vivienne") was die cut from a tag I had made for one of Tim's challenges... Distress daubers, smeared onto craft mat, misted with water and tag smooshed through the paint. I applied Ken Oliver "Stick-It" to the under layer solid piece and adhered the brown filigree piece, then adhered the negative pieces of the colored butterfly. Adhered to card front.

Added a small blue/silver Sari ribbon bow. And as a final touch added the white half pearls.

On the floor: Stamped the quote with the black and clear embossed.

Die cut the "Celebrate" with the off the edge technique, keeping my plates away from the bottom of the word. Trimmed and scored between the letters to create my foot to adhere the word. Used my hard rubber mallet to cut the flourish part without cutting in to the bottom of my word. Inked the word with the Toffee and embossed with the Queen's Gold. Adhered to floor.

Stamped the rose flourish (Inkadinkado "Flower Flourishes") inking the flourish areas only with the Toffee and embossing with the gold. Cleaned my stamp and inked the flowers and leaves using Distress minis in "Picked Raspberry" and "Mowed Lawn", misted with water and stamped.
