I was in a mood to do some quilling at home... and created the "Malaysian" style petals - you can see a tutorial by Angela from The Crafty Angels HERE

And I had the rosette floral thing on my desk for a while now, it's big - and I'm glad I finally had a place to put it... created with Signature Lace die from Joanna Sheen. Love those dies...

I'm using an "A Way With Words" die from Elizabeth Craft Designs ("Happy Birthday" 2pce die set) available in the near future, designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE). 

I'm also using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design  

("Let The Beauty..."); ("Crackle Background")

Die cut the left flap with a Sue Wilson die set (Creative Expressions "Gemini Dies - Lyra" set). 

Inked the crackle stamp with Distress pads ("Fossilized Amber" all over & here and there with "Carved Pumpkin"). Repeated to cover the whole length.

Dry embossed the right flap using Darrice "Wire Fence" embossing folder.

Adhered my quilled elements, adding the golf ringed white half pearls to the flower centers.

Adhered the rosette, die cut from Bogus Recycled Sketch paper which is a Kraft toned paper and cut with the Signature Lace die "Grace Lace Border" by Joanna Sheen. Scored, folded and assembled it, then adhered a Die-Namics Hybrid Heirloom Rose done in the yellow/orangey tones.

The metal diamond shaped paper clip on the left side is what holds the flaps closed and is held to the card on the back with a piece of beige/silver Sari ribbon. (see pic below) 

Card Opened

Die cut the "Happy Birthday", inked with Versafine "Majestic Blue" and embossed with Emerald Creek Hot Stuff "Blue Sparkle" embossing powder. Positioned the words to see where to stamp the quote.

Inked the quote with the blue and clear embossed.

Stamped the floral corners (Inkadinkado ""Floral Flourishes") using Distress pads - the amber and pumpkin for the flower and "Mowed Lawn" for the vines and leaves. Misted with water and stamped. Repeated for the bottom conrer.

Adhered the die cut words.
