ID: MC Jan16 -  ECD Faith  card
size: 5.5"w x 4.25"h (top fold)

Created: January 15, 2016
Modified:

This is basically a single layer card with a border...

One of the NEWEST "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs ("Faith"), designed by Suzanne Cannon (also available HERE). Also using Els  "Alphabet 2 - Lower Case #1075"; "Big Flowers set 1 #795"; "Small Butterfly #1072" & Fitted Frames 1 - Lace Rectangles #1061".

I'm also using a quote and design element stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design

("When You Get to the End..."); ("Butterfly/Dragonfly" 7pce set)

I scored and top folded my salmon toned  card.

Created stamps using fun foam and the butterfly die and the faith die.

See detail pics below:
Sponged Pan Pastels ("Yellow Ochre", "Orange", "Permanent Red") all over the textured side of soft finish cardstock blending to get smooth transitions.

Inked the die cut stamps with Versamark and clear embossed. When embossing was cooled, used an eraser to remove the background color. Only what's under the embossed areas will remain.

Used a 4B pencil (a regular HB or #2 will also work) to add a shadow line on one side of each letter, then used a paper stump to blend the pencil.

Added some glue to the centers of a couple flowers and sprinkled with Silk Micro fine glitter - a little of each (Imperial Garnet & Spring Peridot, burnished when glue was dry.

Trimmed down and adhered to card front.

Die cut the largest border from alcohol decorated glossy paper. Adhered to card front. Added some mini pearls in various colors.

Die cut the filigree part of the butterfly from Color Burst decorated watercolor paper. Adhered to card front.

Die cut a bunch of letters from dark brown cardstock and adhered using the Glad Press 'n Seal technique to adhere the words to my card front.

On the inside: Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

Stamped the butterfly using Versamark and embossed with white embossing powder. When cooled, sponged Pan Pastels ("Yellow Ochre") all over and then rubbed with my finger.

Die cut fun foam stamps, Pan Pastel colored cardstock, stamped with Versamark and clear embossed.
