I thought I'd do something with the world globe from Sizzix... and as I was using it, this song ran through my mind... (I've got the whole world in my hand...)

'm using an "A Way With Words" die from Elizabeth Craft Designs "Laugh" also available on Quietfire Design HERE

I'm using a couple sentiment stamps  from  Quietfire Design  

("The Woods Would Be Very Silent" 5pce set); ("Happy Birthday Plain and Simple" 7pce set)

Scored, and folded my dark blue textured cardstock to create the easel. Cut another piece the same size as my card and adhered to front. (actually it was just a bit short... so added the blue/gold Sari ribbon to camouflage the edge...)

Cut the globe from white cardstock and painted with Distress dabber "Black Soot" acrylic paint. Used my electronic cutter to create a blackout layer, colored with Distress pads in various blues, then adhered the 2 layers together. Adhered to front.

Die cut the "Laugh" from a white Soft Finish cardstock and adhered to front.

Stamped the sentiment on white cardstock, die cut with Spellbinders oval die, sponged with blue around the edges and adhered to front in a spot that would be camouflaged by the hand in the next step.

On the Floor: Created a silhouette file for the hand and cut from white cardstock. Sponged with Distress "Antique Linen" and then some "Tea Dye" to get a nice flesh tone. Added shadowing the same way I create my mountain shadows... Used an orange marker for the fingernails. Scored the hand so get a flat edge to adhere to my floor and act as a stopper. I wanted to add gems somewhere... and then I thought of adding a bracelet using decorative rhinestones by "Say It In Crystals".

Finally doing some of my own calligraphy. A Whimsical lettering style I was teaching this year. Used a 3.8mm Parallel pen and a very diluted mix of Copic White Opaque ink mixed with H2º. When dry, added a shadow type line with a light blue colored pencil.

Stamped the "Happy Birthday using Distress Picket Fence pad and embossing with White embossing powder.
