ID: MC Aug 16 - One Sheet Card - ECD Autumn, Happy Birthday - Learn To Write card
size: 5"w x 7"h (card closed)

Created: August 25, 2016
Modified:

I showed the gals at our last get together how to make the one sheet card fold structure and of course with my demo piece I had to do something with it - BIG GRIN

I'm using one of newer  "A Way With Words" dies from Elizabeth Craft Designs  ("4 Seasons - Autumn" 4pce set) and the "Happy Birthday" 2 pce set; also available on Quietfire Design HERE and HERE

I'm using a couple quote stamps and a couple sentiment stamps and a design element stamp from Quietfire Design as well as an electronic file available on Silhouette onLine store

("How Beautiful Leaves Grow Old" 3pce set); ("Learn To Write..."); ("You Are Never Too Old..."); ("Twirl and Enjoy" 3 pce set); ("Butterflies/Dragonflies" 7pce set); Silhouette ("Splendor")

Scored and side folded my white cardstock.

Cut a 2nd piece of cardstock 1/8 smaller all around. Stamped the quote in the center using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Dry embossed around the stamping using Sizzix "Bricked" embossing folder and my hard rubber mallet. Hit the high points with "Tea Dye" and then sponged around the edges. Adhered to card front.

Die cut a bunch of autumn leaves (Impression Obsession) and sponged with various autumn colors of Distress pads.

electronically cut the small butterfly and stamped using Distress pads, misting with a touch of water. Adhered to card front adding some very small brown rhinestones.

Die cut the large autumn leaves (Sizzix "Tattered Leaves") from some stencil material and sponged various Distress colors to create 1 layer of the background.

Inked a stamp (Rubbernecker "Maple Leaf") using the distress pads, misting with water and stamping. - 2nd layer of background.

Die cut the "Autumn" from a yellow cardstock and a dark green cardstock, layering the two together slightly of set.

eCut the word "Splendor" from white cardstock and a shadow layer. Colored the top layer with Acrylic Dauber "Mustard Seed" and the bottom layer with some "Walnut Stain". Adhered both together.

Stamped the butterfly (same as front) adding some Stickles glitter.

Created the one sheet card structure from a greenish piece of scrapbook paper.

Click HERE for a PDF of the instructions. Enjoy

Stamped the long quote on white cardstock using the black and masking of each section, then trimmed down and adhered along the structure.

Die cut the "Happy Birthday" from white cardstock, inked with Versafine "Habanera" and embossed with Emerald Creek "Thanksgiving" embossing powder.

Die cut the scalloped circle inserts from the greenish scrapbook paper and an inner circle from white cardstock. Sandwiched and adhered the two layers and a backing layer, adding one of the die cut autumn leaves. Stamped the quotes with the black and clear embossed.

Added some lace trim along the edge of the insert pocket.

Cut a rectangle from the greenish scrapbook paper and then a white layer. Stamped the quote with the black and clear embossed. Adhered the two together adding another autumn leaf.

Die cut the scalloped edge to the pockets using a Spellbinders die and my hard rubber mallet.

The other tag I left empty for whatever message...
