I made the flower petals at my last quilling session and finally got around to making the card... I used one of the embossed backgrounds I was trying out for a previous card and the last of the bird on branch die cuts that was on my table... And one of the challenges I'll be entering called for music or musical notes, hence the music background.

I'm using a sentiment stamp and couple quote stamps from Quietfire Design

("Happy Birthday Plain & Simple" 7pce set); ("The Woods Would Be Very Silent"5pce set); ("Music Expresses that...")

I side folded my white card and dry embossed using Spellbinders "Music" embossing folder. Hit the high points with Distress "Spun Sugar" direct to paper and then some "Scattered Straw".

Embossed another piece of white cardstock using eCraft Designs "Curly Leaves" embossing folder. Hit high points with "Shabby Shutters", pressing harder at times to add definition. Trimmed down and layered on to a piece of olive-y green cardstock and then on to the card front.

Adhered my various quilled pieces. Then the birds die cut (Joy Craft "Vintage Flourishes") done on Brusho's background. Added leaves (Memory Box "Lorelai Leaves") which were colored with the Shabby Shutters and then hit with "Forest Moss".

Stamped the quote on a piece of vellum using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossing, adhering with Sookwang tape.

Final touch added the little bow which was also laying on my desk...

Inside left page: Stamped the quote using the black and clear embossed. Die Cut using the outside edged die (Vintasia Frame), then placing the decorative part of the die over the die cut and sponging with a dirty pink sponge (had Picked Raspberry on it...). Adhered to card.

Stamped the flower sprig (Chocolate Baroque "Damask Squares") using the black and clear embossing. Colored between the embossing using a Winsor & Newton yellow watercolour marker.

Stamped the dragonfly (Damask Squares) using Distress mini pads ("Picked Raspberry" on the body, "Mustard Seed" on the wings touched with a bit of "Salty Ocean" and "Black Soot" on the antenna) misting with water and stamping. Inked my stamp again with Versamark and re-stamped, then clear embossed.

Stamped the "Happy Birthday with the Black Onyx and clear embossed.
