MC May/15 - Oval Flourish Card -
The True Harvest - HB cards
Created: May 10, 2015 I'm still playing with my Brusho's powdered pirgments from ColorCraft... and was in the mood for an oval card. BIG GRIN... I'm using a quote stamp on the front and a sentiment stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design ("The True Harvest"); ("Happy Family Days" 5 pce set);

I created my Brusho background on 110#
white cardstock. Stamping the flourishes (Altenew "Lacy Scrolls"
set) using Versamark and clear embossed. Spritzed my cardstock,
sprinkled the powders and then misted again. Dried, then ironed off
the clear embossing between a couple layers of clean newsprint. Die
cut with Spellbinders Grand oval die set and then die cut 2 slightly
larger ovals from blue textured cardstock. Adhered my Brusho
background piece to one of the blue ovals. Over stamped the
flourishes - offset - using Distress Black Soot. Stamped the quote using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Scavenged in my flourish die cuts (Dee's Distinctively "Flourish #1" set) to make a card hinge and feet... Attached the back piece - I now have a card that opens and stands without falling over... On the inside, die cut a smaller oval from another Brusho background. adhered to inside. Stamped the sentiment with the Black onyx and clear embossed. Adhered a few more flourishes. Then added various colors of Perfect Pearls dots. |
