My uncles birthday is coming up soon... and I just got this new die "Roadster" from Frantic Stamper, so thought I'd put it to good use. BIG GRIN

I'm using a sentiment stamp on the outside and altered quote stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design

("Happy Birthday Plain And Simple" 7pce set); ("Home/Congratulations"5pce set); and the word "Day" ("This Heart Longing for You - companion set" 2pce set )

I adhered 2 strips of HVAC aluminum tape to 110# white cardstock. Embossed with Sizzix Tim's "Cracked". Painted all over with a black marker (Grand & Toy water based black), then wiped off the excess with a  paper towel. Applied metallic Rub-ons in various blues and greens and some pinks and yellows. Trimmed down and adhered to a blue textured cardstock and trimmed it to 1/16" border using my Layering Ruler set. (love these rulers...)

Side folded a white card (4.25h x 5.5"w). Adhered black cardstock leaving a 1/16" border all around. Adhered my metallic piece.

Staped the sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx on white cardstock, trimmed down, adhered to blue cardstock and used the rulers to trim the border, then adhered to card front.

Die cut a bunch of gears (Sizzix Tim's "Gadget Gears") from white cardstock. Inked with Distress "Vintage Photo", embossed with "Rustique Tin Can" embossing powder and adhered using PVA glue and Glossy Accents.

Inside: Die cut the Roadsters (Frantic Stamper) from white cardstock. The red car (reversed die cut) - colored  with Prisma colored pencils; the green car cut from Gelli print paper. Added black tires and silver metallic pencil for trim etc. created masks for the cars and stamped the background (Just Jhones "Mosaic") inking with Distress "Pumice Stone" all over, then "Fired Brick" & "Black Soot" here and there, misted with water and stamped.

added some hand lettering using a micron pen "choose your poison" & "I'll take the discard"...

On the opposite page, stamped the quote using the Black onyx, exchanging the word "home" for "Day". Adhered my gears.

Wanted some chain but of course I didn't have a stamp of that... so drew one, scanned it, and eCut with my electronic cutter from white cardstock. Painted with distress acrylic dauber "Black" and added white highlights using a pointed pen and my "Copic/water mix.

The jalopy was cut a couple times from white cardstock and painted with "Salty Ocean" and skimmed with "Brushed Pewter". Wheels colored with a black marker.

I colored the front and back of the jalopy. Adhered about 1 3/4" tail end of the jalopy to the back of the card, then adhered my painted jalopy to the overhand, leaving enough room for my card to close properly, scored and creased.

Wrote in my uncle's name using a Bic black marker.
