ID: MC Mar/15 - Double Diamond Card - Sometimes - HB card
size: 5"h  x 7.75w (card closed)

Created: March 8, 2015

It's that time again when I start needing guy cards... My uncle collected postage stamps avidly...

I'm also using a quote and sentiment stamp from Quietfire Design

("Let Them Eat Cupcakes" 4 pce set); ("Sometimes Said Pooh");

I scored and folded my brown textured card. Cut a piece of cream cardstock to fit in the end pieces, then cut and adhered the postage stamp scrapbook paper, leaving a 1/8" border all around then adhered that to the card. Trimmed it to fit the card angles.

Cut and adhered pieces of a beige geometric patterned scrapbook paper to fit the angled folds and the front. Stamped the quote and sentiment using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed.

adhered my cancelled postage to cream cardstock and used postage scissors to cut around the images, then adhered to card.

Folding the card structure: cut a piece of cardstock 12"w x 5"h. Find your center point (6"). Score on either side of the center point at 1.5" (for a total front of 3").

Score at 1- 3/10" from 1st score line. Put a pencil mark at 1-3/10" from this score line. Score diagonally. If you've marked your pencil mark correctly, the score line should cross the center point evenly.

Fold on score lines as indicated valley or mountain folds. I usually work on  the upper left side first, popping out the mountain fold while pressing the valley folds down and shifting the front of the card over the folds, this also starts folding the bottom score lines. press down and burnish from the back of the card or protect the front from creating a glossy edge to your fold. Repeat on right side. now decorate. The right and left side of the card will be straight edges. I cut mine to follow the same line definition as the diamond folds.
