size: 11"w  x 5"h x 1"thick

I recently saw one of this style of card on "Sandra's Scrapshop" HERE and new I wanted to make one... This bow is humungous... and I wanted to pair it with Suzanne's newest dies - love them. She came out with 3 - Believe, Thanks & Hello.

I'm also using a quote stamp on the inside from Quietfire Design

("If you don't believe" 3pce set); die ("Believe");

I hand cut the pieces for the bow (click HERE for template) from a deep fuchsia textured cardstock, 4 of the large piece and 4 of the smaller piece. Massaged the cardstock to allow it to curl nicely and glued the ends together. Adhered the lace edging on the larger pieces using very narrow Sookwang tape. Adhered the heart ribbon on the smaller pieces also with Sookwang tape.

Die cut the background (Spellbinders "Heirloom Rectangles") from yellow textured cardstock. Cut it approx in the middle to shorten the height and glued the pieces together to get a height of 5". The join gets covered by the bow...

Adhered the bow elements using a hot glue gun and leaving a space between the loops of about 3/4". Pressed down and held the loop as the glue cooled.

Die cut the center piece (Creative Expressions "Greek Island Collection "Corner, Border & Tag" set) from the fuchsia and white cardstock, sponging green and yellow on the leafy piece.

Die cut the word twice from white cardstock and while it was still semi attached to the background cardstock colored with Distress pads (Mustard Seed & Spiced Marmalade) for the top layer and (Brushed Corduroy) on the under layer, then adhered them off set to create a shadow. adhered it to the oval piece and then on to the bow with hot glue. There's about 3/8" space behind the oval...

Adhered the tail ends. Cut another background piece from the yellow, used the 1st die cut to hand cut one end so that it fit with the front, sponged some brown and adhered it to the front piece to cover the join and bow ends. Die cut it a third time to create the back of my top fold card, adhering only the top lacy portion and scoring a fold.

Stamped the quote onto the yellow cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Die cut it (Spellbinders oval die set) and then die cut an oval from the fuchsia cardstock using the other matching oval die set. Adhered to the inside.
