ID: MC Jun/15 - Side Easel Yellow Roses - Let the Beauty - HB
size: 7"w x 5"h (card closed)

Created: June 27, 2015
Modified:

A friend asked me to make a card for someone I know and they wanted yellow roses on it... Well I used a bunch of my very favorite dies

I'm using a quote stamp on the front and sentiment & frame stamp set on the inside from Quietfire Design

Stamps: ("Let the Beauty"); ("Happy Family Days" 5pce set)

I scored and folded my easel card from white cardstock

Die cut the flourished frame (Cuttlebug Anna Griffin "Flourish Emblem") from white cardstock, heavily sponged with Distress "Scattered Straw", removed from die and cut away the center area.

Used the die to scan the outer edge and imported into my electronic cutter. Cut 2 of them from white cardstock. On the front one I dry embossed using Darice "Basket Weave". Adhered this layer to the front piece of the side easel. adhered a piece of narrow yellow satin ribbon, then the flourished frame.

Stamped the quote on a separate piece of white cardstock using Versafine "Spanish Moss" and clear embossed. Die cut using Marianne Design LR0235 die set and sponged with a dirty green sponge. Adhered over the ribbon.

Created a decorated paper using 67# white cardstock, misting both sides and bursting Brushos "Yellow", "Gamboge" and "Scarlet" misting with more water, moving some around with my finger, lifting most of the water off with a paper towel, then spraying with Perfect Pearls "Sunflower Sparkle" & "Perfect Pearls" mists. Dried thoroughly, then cut with my electronic cutter "Heirloom Hybrid Roses". I created the eCut from my die set, and wanted some that were smaller than the die...

Tooled the petals to give more shape. Adhered to card. Tied a bow and adhered with a hot glue gun and then the small rose.

Die cut some rose leaves from light green sponged cardstock using Memory Box Cluster Carnations, then cutting the leaves away from the die cut and going direct to paper with "Mowed Lawn". Adhered under roses.

Added to green toned half pearls.

Dry embossed the 2nd outer edged frame using Cuttlebug "Honeycomb" embossing folder.

Sponged the mowed lawn around the edges of the floor, then adhered the outer edge frame.

Created an eCut of the flourish stamped frame. Stamped using the Moss and embossed with "Oakleaf Olive" embossing powder.

Stamped the birthday sentiment with the moss and clear embossed. Adhered to card floor using 3D foam tape.

Adhered more roses and leaves to use as stoppers

Die cut the bumblebee (eCraft Designs), coloring with markers and adding Stickles dry glitter "Star Dust on the wings using Quickie Glue pen.

Final touch added some pearl flourishes.
