ID: MC Sept/14 - Napkin Fold - May You Have  card
size: 5"w x 5"h (closed not incl bow)

Created: September 29, 2014

I came across this napkin fold card structure and thought I'd try making one. The structure is not something new, but to use it as a card is for me... Also there were a couple challenges - non traditional Xmas colors and use 3 designer papers, hence the color combination for an Xmas card. BIG GRIN

The instructions I used are by Carol Hurlock on Splitcoast Stampers Although I made mine using 10"w square  paper

I'm using a quote stamp from Quietfire Design

I scored and folded my paper as per instructions using the beige pattern paper. Added pieces of the purple and the Moroccan papers as accents.

Used Martha Stewart punch around the page punch set "Swirling Lace".

Sandwiched two strips together putting my white silk ribbon between them and adhering it only to the back piece. Then adhered it to the back of the card.

Added white snowflakes from some snowflake ribbon I recently purchased.

Die cut the Jingle Bells (Sizzix Tim's movers & shapers) from white cardstock, Inked with Versafine "Toffee" and embossed with Queen's Gold, then edged with Black Onyx and heat set. Punched some Pine Branch sprigs (McGill punch) painted with Distress Daubers (Shabby Shutters & Mowed Lawn). Adhered them together then adhered to ribbon piece with a purple brad. Covered the brad on the inside with a punched out scrap piece of the designer paper.

On the inside stamped the bells (Stampers Anonymous Tim's "Christmas Memories") using the toffee and embossing with the gold on some cream toned cardstock. Colored with Distress markers.

Stamped the quote with the black and clear embossed.

Selectively embossed the snowflake (Cuttlebug "Distressed Snow") design using my hard rubber mallet. Trimmed down and adhered to inside of card.
