MC Oct/14 - Triangle Xmas Tree - Merry Xmas Card
Size: 5"w x 7"h (easel closed)

Created: October 11, 2014
Modified:

One of the challenges called for triangles... I immediately thought of an abstract Xmas tree. Not the type I usually do... Then I thought I'd make it in to an easel card. I don't think I've ever done a triangle easel before but this leant itself beautifully to it..

I'm also using an Xmas sentiment from Quietfire Design

I scored and cut the triangle shale for the easel card. Adhered a piece of heavy textured green cardstock called Lava Paper.

Punched out the star (Fiskar's Squeeze Punch) and the snowflakes (Martha Stewart) from white cardstock. Applied a layer of PVA glue and sprinkled with glitter. For the star I used Stickles "Star Dust" and for the snowflakes Stampendous "Crystal Snow".

Applied various colors of liquid dots using Liquid Pearls, Stickles & Viva Pearl pens. Set aside to dry (takes a while...)

On the inside: adhered a piece of white textured Mulberry paper to the floor. Stamped the snowman ornament (Flourishes) on white cardstock using Versafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Cut around the image (and adding a small lip) and colored with Prisma colored pencils. Adhered to floor to act as the stopper.

Stamped the sentiment with the black on white cardstock. Die cut with Spellbinder's oval die set, sponged some red around the edges.

adhered a piece of blue Sari ribbon, then adhered the sentiment using 3D foam tape.
