MC Oct/14 - Quill Ornate Frame - Mistletoe Card

I love this ornate frame from Sizzix and I thought it would pair up well with the quilled Mistletoe... I don't think I've every been kissed under the mistletoe, or for that matter ever stood under any... Wonder what I've missed in my life BIG GRIN

I'm using a sentiment stamp on the front from Quietfire Design

("Christmas Cuddlers" 9 pce set)

I side folded my white cardstock, embossed with Crafters Companion "Merry Christmas" embossing folder.

Die cut the Ornate Frame from brownish mat board, applied Versamark all over and embossed with "Rustique Tin Can" embossing powder. Used a Distress brown marker to color the edges. Adhered to frame with 3D foam tape. Tied a red bow and adhered to frame with hot glue.

Adhered my quilled elements. Used the corrugated cardstock from Quilled Creations for the stems which I had painted with a brown Distress acrylic dauber. Added Liquid Pearls "White Opal" to the berries.

Stamped the sentiment using Veresafine Black Onyx and clear embossed. Die cut with Spellbinders "Grommet Tags" moving the die to get the length I wanted. Colored the edges with a dirty red sponge. Inserted two large red brads and then adhered to frame.

On the inside wrote in my words in a funky calligraphy style using a 1.5 Parallel pen dipped in Sumi ink.

words: "You've just been hugged under the mistletoe..."

Stamped the mistletoe (Flourishes) with the black and colored with Prisma colored pencils
