MC Oct/14 - Jumbo Leaves
Cards
Created: October 10, 2014 I went to Artsy Market this past weekend and Debra McGinnis was using the Jumbo Leaves from Stampendous... I had that stamp set... so pulled it out and created some solid silhouette images to eCut. I'm also using eCut sentiment & a couple of quote stamps from Quietfire Design ("How Beautifully Leaves Grow Old" 3 pce set); ("Give Thanks" 2 pce set); & the eCut on the Silhouette OnLine store "Thankful" |
I side folded my cream toned cardstock. Adhered some rust textured cardstock, then strips of Sari Ribbon eCut the "thankful" from white cardstock, inked with Versamark and embossed with Honey. Adhered it to a dark brown shadow layer, then onto card. I stamped the leaves on white cardstock, scanned it and created silhouette images. Imported it into my electronic cutter software, then eCut them from white cardstock. Colored with Distress pads on a craft sheet, misted with water and applied with a paint brush. Adding some sponging, then stamping the veins with Versafine Black Onyx. Adhered to card. Added a Sari ribbon bow and adhered the orange flower button. On the inside, adhered an extra leaf I had and stamped the quote with the black and clear embossed. |

Side folded my white cardstock. Used the negative portion of the leaves sheet I eCut as a stencil, applying Versamark all over, removing the stencil and applying Pan Pastels Pearlescents (newest acquisition) in yellow, orange and greens. eCut, colored and stamped my leaves (see above). Adhered to card. Tied a multi loop bow and adhered with hot glue adding the purple heart button. Stamped the quote with the black on white cardstock. Colored edges with dirty Distress sponges in yellow and red. Die cut with Spellbinders scalloped rectangle. Die cut the rectangle shape from purple cardstock using the Lacy Squares die set and moving my die as needed. |
