MC Oct/14 - Classic Poinsettia Cards

I picked up this new stamp set "Classic Poinsettia" by Creative Expressions and made myself some solid silhouette images to cut with my electronic cutter...

I cut the florets from pink vellum, then stamped on each floret using Versamark and embossing with white embossing powder. Tooled each floret on the back with a large balled stylus, then adhered the florets together.

The leaves I cut from white cardstock, applied Distress Acrylic daubers "Shabby Shutters", dried, then stamped with the Versamark and embossed with "Oakleaf Olive" embossing powder.

I'm also loving making side easels...

I'm also using sentiment & Quote stamps from Quietfire Design

I cut, scored and folded my red textured cardstock to make my side easel.

Punched out the center border piece (EK Success "Scroll Pattern") from white cardstock, applied Versamark all over and embossed with Pearl Lustre White embossing powder. Adhered to a separate piece of red texture cardstock the same size as card. Adhered the lace trim.

 Stamped the quote using the Versamark in two stages, masking of sections on each stage, then embossing with white embossing powder.

Adhered my poinsettia using Golden's extra heavy gel medium. Adhered the red rhinestone center. Then added the rhi9nestone flourishes and the two red/white stitched pieces of ribbon.

Adhered this panel to the card front.

On the floor: Quilled a couple pine sprigs using two strips of quill paper at a time (white & green) and using my smaller combing gadget. Adhered to floor as my stopper. Added pearls and flourishes. Stamped the sentiment with the Versamark and embossed with white.

Added the stitching detail using Ranger white Enamel Accents.

Side folded my craft toned textured cardstock. Adhered the punched border, then the lace trim, then a piece of pink/white dotted narrow ribbon.

Stamped the quote using Versafine Toffee and embossing with Queen's Gold embossing powder. Shadow detailed with a pointed pen and my white mix (Copic white & H2º)

Adhered the poinsettia and leaves, then added the ribbon tails and the pearl flourishes.
