MC Oct/14 - Circle Easel  - Snowmen Fall From Heaven Card
size: 5"w x 7"h (easel closed)

Created: October 25, 2014

I was making a circle easel card the other day and said to myself perfect for a snowman easel BIG GRIN

I'm using a quote stamp on the inside and sentiment stamp on the front from Quietfire Design

("Let it Snow" large), ("Snowmen Fall From Heaven")

I scored and folded my white cardstock and taped it to my table, then cut with my EK Success circle scissor through both layers. Folded the front in half to create the easel.

Cut another circle for the large part of the body, then die cut the two smaller circles (Spellbinders "Circle die set") from both white cardstock and a heavy textured cardstock (Lava Paper). Adhered the cardstock circle to the Lava cardstock, then adhered the circles together to form the snowman and onto the card front.

Stamped the hat (Rick Saint Denis "Hat Hope") onto white cardstock, colored with prisma colored pencils and fussy cut around it. Slit the hat to fit the head into it and adhered.

Adhered black rhinestones for the eyes, pearl flourish for the mouth and cut a triangle of cardstock for the nose, coloring it with Distress "Ripe Persimmon". Tied a green/white checked bow and adhered that.

Didn't have red buttons, so  colored with alcohol markers... but they turned it a purple-y color, so applied Versamark on the buttons and embossed with red embossing powder, then adhered with a glue gun.

Die cut and adhered the arms using Tim's "Tree Branch" die and white cardstock. Colored with Distress "Pumice Stone", then "Gathered Twigs".

Stamped the sentiment "Let it Snow" onto white cardstock with Versafine Black Onyx. Wavy cut around it and sponged around edges with a dirty red sponge.

Floor

On the floor, colored another circle with "Festive Berry" and used my sewing machine to zig zag a design around the edges. adhered to card base.

Punched the snowflakes (Martha Stewart) a few times from white cardstock, applied glue and sprinkled with Stickles glitter "Star Dust", adhered it to another snowflake for strength and then onto the floor as a stopper. Did it again on a 2nd snowflake.

Stamped the quote with the black, then used a fine tipped pen to cross out the word "men" and wrote in the word "ladies" (BIG GRIN)

Stamped the polka dots (Prairie Rubber Stamps) to mimic snow using Versamark and embossing with white embossing powder.
